This is an illustration of a child’s rosary. In the Catholic community the rosary is also known as prayer beads. It is a representation of both vocal prayer and silent meditation. The proper way to pray is called the Tricade which consists of The Lords prayer, Hail Mary, and the Glory be to the Father prayer.
